This was my second year running this race. The goal going in was to break 1:30 here's how I did: 1-6:23 2-6:46 3-5:44 held 5:30 pace for about 1-1/2 mile stretch here. Probably a little fast but it was fun. 4-6:12 5-6:33 6-6:26 7-6:55 this is where I had to really start working to keep the pace up 8-7:06 9-8:04 had to slow down because I really needed a porta potty break 10-8:17 slower mile because I took that porta potty break 11-6:56 12-7:08 13-7:24 should have been able to break 1:30 but ended up walking a killer side ache out. I know I'm weak. .1-:29 (6:02 pace) Exactly two minutes slower than last year but I had fun and the legs will confirm they got a good workout. |
